DUTIES

  • Support the Project Specialist in completing various project activities
  • Coordinate activities across project teams in alignment of project priorities
  • Serves as coordination point for required project information and documents
  • Support the evaluation of project performance and prepare relevant reports and/or presentations
  • Working closely with steering committees to draft briefing notes and other documents for executive level presentation
  • Stakeholder management
  • Support the Project Specialist in coordinating activities between the leadership, working groups and Youth Advisory Committees
  • Draft communications for stakeholders on project progress on a regular basis
  • Monitor project timelines and identify potential delays and opportunities
  • Research service delivery models
  • Support activities and rapid improvement cycles to support hub operations
  • Research and support application to grant opportunities for the Youth Wellness Hub

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business, Health, Community Services and/or related field
  • Experience working on major projects or community collaboratives
  • Awareness of project management principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, French is an asset
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills
  • Models collaborative engagement to develop solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to assess priorities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to develop problem solving approaches to technical problems and implement solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse community partners including but not limited to LGBT2SQ+, Indigenous and racialized groups
  • Knowledge of mental health services and community partnerships would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to organize work effectively to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Possession of a valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence and availability of an automobile in good working condition
  • Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check required

This position is funded by the NOHFC. Applicants must either be a new entrant into the workforce, transitioning to a new career, or unemployed or underemployed and entering a new field, as well as,

  1. not previously participated in NOHFC’s People & Talent Program,
  2. be at least 18 years of age, and
  3. reside in Northern Ontario
